Professional wrestling is something that I enjoy on all fronts. What I mean by that is what while I will watch World Wrestling Entertainment as it is broadcasted on live television, the truth is that there exist other promotions that I'm interested in. Whether local unknowns or underrated gems, wrestling companies exist far more prevalently than I'm sure casual fans will ever realize. Being littler companies in the world, though, truck wraps stand as a fine way to advertise.
I've seen forms of advertising outside of television that these smaller promotions use well. For example, New York Wrestling Connection typically advertises their shows through signs which are stationed at stoplights and roads which aren't as busy. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've passed these coming off of Sunrise Highway and have been quizzical about the shows they were advertising. That's one way that these smaller companies promote themselves well and it has done well in bringing local fans to the events.
It'd be wrong to not consider mobile advertising as well because it can be the most effective, not to mention cheap, way to get one's brand out in the open. Truck wraps are the name of the game in this regard and they don't seem to have much in the way of limits. In addition, it seems like a wide range of people can be reached since there doesn't seem to be a limit to such wraps. JMR Graphics is one company to look into if one is looking into high-quality wraps at affordable rates.
This affordable way of advertising has to be used as well because of how little-known these independent promotions are. The money has to go to the performers who work the shows, so there has to be other ways to get the word out about shows. Truck wraps may not be the trendiest way to go but it has been dependable in the past when it came time to showcase products and brands to the masses. Without much in the way of funds that bigger companies are afforded, smaller promoters have to make do.
I still watch the bigger wrestling shows on TV but I'd be lying if I didn't say that the smaller shows haven't taken my attention more. The simple output of heart and skill is something that I can't help to admire. These people compete for very little yet their matches are better than anything that I would commonly see in WWE. While advertising proves to be something of a problem for them, I can only hope that passionate wrestling fans continue to take notice.
