Long-awaited FPS with RPG elements will soon be released. Same like first release of the game, Borderlands 2 gonna have cooperative mode for up to four players. New thing is a split screen mode for two.
We are about to do the tasks, eliminate all foes encountered, all over the planet of Pandora. Brand new characters, same comics look will entertain us for long long hours.
Borderlands 2 offers three main and one bonus character to play:
Axton substituted Roland in Borderlands 2. Same as Roland he is a solider. His special power is Turret 2.0, known from previous part held by Roland. This time turret has more features and is much more bigger. Also, at some point in the game it can be deployed on any surface and you can withdraw the turret. A part from that, Axton has overall combat skills which is pretty obvious, he's a solider.
Zer0 looks similar to a ... cyborg? He is very different from other characters. We also don't know much about him which was supposedly made in purpose. He can use his Jedi-like sword to assassinate the victim while in stealth mode - his special power. The best way to play him would be to place a decoy and eliminate enemies from the distant. It is because his preferred weapon is sniper rifle.
Maya is a character that is Siren class from previous part of the game. Her special power is Phaselock - the power to capture the target in electric bubble which teleports him to a different dimension. This skill may be afterwards modified. For instance Life Orbs - locked opponent cures you and your allies or more harmful skills that will induce the orb to explode and hurt anybody in the area. Besides that Maya is the only lady form the primary squad of the game.
Salvador may resemble a big piece of rock. He is the biggest and toughest character of all presented in Borderlands 2. He is Gunzerker, class that has its origin from Berserker. He holds special skill termed Dual-Wielding. It can make him strong for a short time, strong enough to carry and fire from two weapons together. Obviously skill level can be upgraded after leveling.
Mechromancer is going to be a extra character available with pre-ordered extended version of the game or bought in case we buy basic edition of the game. We know that Mechromancer will be a tiny girl with power to control mechs and her special power will be Deathtrap - nasty avatar of Claptrap, robot known from the first part. It is not straightforward yet exactly how Dethtrap will help this little lady.
Borderlands 2 is now called launch of the year in the game industry. Game will be available on three platforms: PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Its launch is planed on 18th September 2012. It is gonna be a big day for all fans of Pandora.
