Eating Healthy Frozen Vegetable Burgers

With the total increase in health awareness these days, many people have shunned hamburgers because of all the health controversies surrounding this dish. Because of this health trend that has popped up in the past few years, many people have turned to vegetables for their daily meals instead of ground meat with bread. It is because of this that manufacturers came up with a new product that is also known as frozen vegetable burgers.

The great thing about veggie patties is that they contain a minimal amount of calories as compared to meat patties. While regular meat patties would contain around around four hundred calories per serving, a typical vegetable patty would actually contain around just one hundred to two hundred.

Of course if one is after the taste of the burger, then one will actually enjoy eating these things because of the exotic taste. Now there are so many vegetables that may be used in making these things which means more flavors to experiment with. One may even try out those patties that come in Mexican, Spanish, or Asian flavors.

Now just for those who do not know how to make these kinds of things, then here are some steps and methods on how to make these patties. When frying with a pan, one has to make sure he has a non stick frying pan or at least some non stick liquid to spray on the pan. First, he would have to put the patty on the pan and just fry them over a medium fire for around five minutes.

After that, get a microwave dish and place it inside the microwave in order to heat up. One should heat them up for around one minute to around two minutes before taking it out and allowing it to cool down. For those who do not have microwaves, a normal oven may be used instead.

The third option would be to use a charcoal grill in order to make the patty. This is actually the best method because it would give the burger a rather charcoal taste which is what most gourmet hamburgers in restaurants would have. To do this, one just has to put the patty on to a grill and cook the burger for around five minutes on both of the sides.

All that is left to do here now is to add some condiments or other ingredients inside. A veggie burger would usually go really well with other vegetables as well such as lettuce or tomatoes and maybe even some carrots or cabbages. Of course ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise may also be added inside the burger as well.

So if one loves hamburgers but would want to switch to a healthy lifestyle, then try out some frozen vegetable burgers instead. These things are great for the weight conscious people as well as the health conscious people who do not want to spoil their diets by eating foods that are quite unhealthy. By making these at home, one does not need to go to a fast food restaurant to satisfy some burger cravings anymore.
