My Dog's Bad Luck With Beds & Mattress Delivery

By Rob Sutter

My little Shih Tzu named Nicky seems to have some of the worst luck when it comes to sleeping schedules. I could be working at my desk late at night and out of my peripheral vision I see a white ball of fluff making his way into the den where I'm sitting with my laptop. He simply cannot sleep well and this isn't even limited to his own small dog beds, either. Rather, my parents had purchased a new bad and now I have to wonder if the mattress delivery was worth it.

Mattress authorities such as Sleepy's seem to conduct some of the finest work in the way of bedding. Going about merchandise and mattress delivery at rates which seem nonexistent is ideal and they work very well in making certain that people's wallets aren't being compromised. Once they received their new bed, they were overjoyed that they could actually rest and not wake up sore. When Nicky began to take to the bed, I think some issues started to present themselves when he refused to follow sleep patterns.

Nicky started to show some signs of aggression and I don't think I've ever seen a dog tear up his little bed so fast. It seemed like he was using it more so as a toy but he clearly did not realize just how strong he was and, as a result, we've gone through more than a few of them. Nicky would wind up sleeping with my parents during most nights since the little guy became conditioned to do so. Of course, being a Shih Tzu, one had to expect the level of energy he would have even when we couldn't muster it.

If you have siblings, have you ever taken a vacation and you have no choice but to sleep next to your little brother who simply can't stop kicking his legs around? If you multiply that by a few times, I think you get a general idea of what Nicky caused. My poor parents could never get the kind of sleep they wanted and nights proved to be quite challenging for them. Nicky had grown up since that point, though, so it's nice to see that he's managed to calm down.

It goes to show just how many problems there are when it comes to having pets and sleeping schedules to uphold. However, I wouldn't want to trade in my little Shih Tzu for anything in the world. Nicky's been nothing short of entertaining and he's lovable to boot, which is why I refuse to say anything bad about him. He was a bit rambunctious as a pup but when you consider young dogs in general, I think a more energetic demeanor is something to expect.
