Which Changes Are Making Commuter Bicycling Better?

By Rob Sutter

Commuter bicycling is worth talking about at length since there are many aspects to pinpoint. Each of these is going to play into how well the process is gone about and how enjoyable it is for those who pride themselves on being riders. As this regimen continues to gain ground in the public eye, it's apparent to me that more and more changes are becoming apparent. Seeing as how said changes are making an impact, it'd be wrong not to talk about them, at least to some extent.

Huffington Post Canada put up an article recently and it seemed relevant considering how great the Citi Bike program within NYC had become. Smart design has been able to increase the amount of riders in the world and there are many instances of this in the world. For example, Japan instituted an underground park system for riders so that they could better secure their vehicles. Seeing as how stolen vehicles have become an issue, this is a tremendous advancement that, hopefully, other parts of the world benefit from.

College was mentioned in the article as well, which doesn't surprise me considering the many types of travel to consider. Companies along the lines of Linus Bike have shown that these rides can be utilized for a number of reasons. There are models which are meant for those who are looking to get exercise in while others are simply vying for a way to get from one place to the next without any other bells and whistles. It's clear that there are a number of ways to get into commuter bicycling.

What if the changes come about because of the rides on their own as opposed to where exactly they're riding about? Electric bikes were referenced as well but it seems like these particular items have gained a reputation for bringing about the laziness in people. However, as much criticism as this machine has drawn, I'd like to think that there are positives to consider, too, though their usefulness may vary from person to person. Did you know, for example, that these rides have on-board Wi-Fi integrated?

It seems like this trend will only continually change as time goes along, which is something that I hope happens. To me, it's one of the best hobbies to get into, especially if you're someone who is strapped as far as ways to exercise go. You may want to consider this method, no matter which model you go with. Regardless of that choice you make, I believe that you will be able to benefit from the constantly shifting environment all the same.
