Knowing About Famous Italian Singers

History classes should teach all students about famous Italian singers. These are very important people to remember who often bring joy into many people's lives. Every American citizen has heard about such great singers like Frankie Laine, Perry Como, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Franks Sinatra, Vic Damone and Luciano Pavarotti.

Frank Sinatra was known to everyone as "Ol Blue Eyes" and people all over the world loved his music. This man was the king of jazz music and he had very famous people following him around. Frank was married several times to different actresses and none of the unions lasted very long because of his Hollywood lifestyle. His marriages were quite reckless but his entertainment skills were excellent.

Dean Martin was a very handsome entertainer who could charm all of the women and men around town. He enjoyed singing at many events and charities with his very good friend Jerry Lewis during the 1950's. Dean and Jerry did a number of movies together during this period and people all over enjoyed their films. Mr. Martin also did a number of variety shows which featured great stars such as Lucille Ball and Milton Berle. He dated so many lovely women who lived on the east and west coast.

All Americans really idolize Tony Bennett and his very smooth music. Tony was born in Queens, New York and his actual name is Anthony Dominick Benedetto. This man shortened his original name for entertainment purposes and his agents were very happy that he did this particular deed. The 1950's and 1960's brought him great fame and fortune and he continues to do well with the younger generation even today.

During Christmas time all of the American television networks would have a special airing which would feature Perry Como. His parents named him Perino Ronald Como and they were very proud of their little boy while he was growing up. His television shows always brought in many viewers and individuals considered him to be very "grounded."

Jerry Vale came into this world as Gennaro Luigi Vitaliano to his very proud parents. They all lived in a part of New York known as the Bronx. He used to shine shoes for everyone taking the busy subways within this city and during this time he was discovered by his employer. He was so impressed with Jerry's voice that he sent him to music classes.

There was a magical musical couple named Vic Damone and Diahann Carroll. They entertained all of their Hollywood friends on a daily basis with their unique singing style. Vito Rocco Farinola was Mr. Damone's birth name and he first made his entrance into the world in a borough called Brooklyn.

Luciano Pavarotti is one of the most famous Italian singers who was known world wide. He lived his life to the fullest and was considered to be one of the greatest tenors ever. He was born in Italy and originally wanted to play on a football team. He traveled all around the globe entertaining people before his untimely death 2007.
